Rev. Smith,
I listened to the
message "Laodician Church". This was one of the most powerful
messages I have ever heard. I just wanted to let you know how
much I appreciated getting this message and the others I have
received. I have already loaned the Laodician message to a
friend and when she returns it, I am having my children listen to
it. Then, I plan to loan it to anyone who wants to hear it. What
an eye opening message. I am now really praying and seeking that
my family will be rapture ready. Praise the Lord I know I am
ready. I know the LORD deserves all the credit. I just wanted
to thank you for sending this wonderful message to our home. I
want to thank Ruth as well for taking the time to make sure we get
the messages on CD. I will be praying for you both and for what
you are doing to advance the KINGDOM of GOD.

Dear Sherry,
Thank
you for the compliment on the Laodician message. As you share
this message I pray that others will be saved and even want to
subscribe to our monthly message ministry on CD as well. You may
want to print and share the following:
God met with us in a special way on that Sunday morning.
My brother was in that service and he had been backslidden
several years. Many, including him made their way to the
altar that Sunday morning. Throughout the message, a
lady carrying a heavy burden for lost souls was literally
moaning in intercession. God's presence and glory was on
that place. It was the most powerful manifestation of the
Holy Spirit I've ever heard or seen and I've never witnessed a
service like it since. As you carefully listen, in the
middle of the |
|
message you will hear a man moved by the Holy Spirit, stand
to his feet, raise his hand toward heaven, and with holy
boldness shout with a loud voice, "Hear it! Hear it!
Hear it! It was not disruptive, irreverent or funny because
everyone knew it was of God and the Holy Spirit was powerfully
revealing His message and wanted everyone to hear it. |
The recording stops long before the service is over. The
service lasted until
1:30 in the
afternoon. The altar and front pews quickly filled with people
praying during the invitation. With everyone earnestly praying,
it sounded like one great big roar. God and all His glory was
there! As forgiven individuals began testifying, the altar and
front pews lined again with many more seekers. God was definitely
in charge and we continued to follow His leading by singing
choruses between testimonies. When these seekers returned to
their seats and were testifying, still others began to come
forward and once again the altar and front pews filled up with
souls finding God's forgiveness. Testimonies and
choruses continued, God's Spirit moved on others that had
been holding back, but now they made their way to the altar
and the front pews and the front was filled for the fourth
time with repentant hearts crying out to God for forgiveness.
Before the Sunday evening, a lady came up to my wife
(Ruth), and said, "This morning the Lord impressed upon me to go
over to a man and urge him to go to the altar and pray." She
said, I told him, "I don't know where you are with the Lord, but I
feel God wanted me to come over to you." Then she told Ruth, "I
didn't know it at the time, but that man was Rev. Smith's
brother." My brother did go to the altar, but I knew he did
not pray through. After that, my brother's business continued to
suffer, his oldest son divorced and committed suicide. My
brother suffered through several heart attacks and a paralyzing
stroke. It was sad that it took so long for him to come to God.
But like I've said so many times, God permits our happiness to be
removed so we can be holy. His paralyzing stroke was the straw
that broke the camel's back and he could no longer smoke. Two
years before he died, he did pray through to glorious victory. He
had victory in Jesus even though he had to drag his leg as he
walked. The stroke also made it difficult for him to speak
clearly, but he could give a genuine testimony. In October before
he passed away in January of 2002, he visited another one of our
revivals, and gave a wonderful testimony of God's goodness with
tears in his eyes and his good arm lifted toward heaven. Glory!
It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus.
